ForwardQuote is a software product built and operated by Barael LLC, a California limited liability company. References to "ForwardQuote," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Barael LLC and its product, ForwardQuote. Questions about this policy can be directed to hello@forwardquote.com.
We collect the minimum data needed to operate the service.
Account information. When you or your administrator creates an account, we collect your email address, name, and role. This is used for authentication, team management, and service communications.
Email content (RFQ emails). When you connect your inbox, ForwardQuote monitors the designated quoting address for incoming RFQ emails. The body text of those emails is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for field extraction. The extracted fields and a copy of the original email are stored in our database and associated with your account.
Rate cards and pricing data. Carrier rate cards and margin rules you upload are stored in our database and used exclusively to generate quotes for your account. This data is not shared with other accounts or third parties.
Usage data. We log basic activity such as when quotes are sent, which users take actions, and API response times. These logs are used for debugging and service reliability — not for advertising or profiling.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not use your data for advertising.
Four services process your data as part of operating ForwardQuote:
No data is shared with any other third parties. We do not use analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.
ForwardQuote is built as a multi-tenant system. Every record in the database — RFQs, quotes, carriers, team members, rate cards — is tagged with your tenant ID. Row-level security policies on the database ensure that queries for one tenant never return data belonging to another.
All data in transit is protected by TLS. Data at rest in Supabase is encrypted using AES-256. OAuth tokens for inbox connections are stored encrypted in the database, not in application code.
Production database access is restricted to the founding team and is logged. We do not grant access to your tenant data to contractors or third parties without explicit consent.
RFQ records — including original email text and extracted fields — are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. We do not have an automated retention schedule at this time.
If you cancel your account or your contract ends, your account is deactivated. Your data remains available for export for 30 days, then is permanently deleted on request. To request deletion, contact hello@forwardquote.com.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@forwardquote.com. We will respond within 45 days.
We will update this policy when our data practices change in a material way. If we make material changes, we will notify active account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
